December Theme: Stewardship of Gifts and Talents
Read this before the meetings & think about it a little.
The Peace Prayer of St. Francis
Lord make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred,
Let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is error, truth;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled
As to console;
To be understood,as to understand;
To be loved, as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive,
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

Meetings
December 7 4:30-6 Let's Talk About Presents!
There's so much planning to do before Christmas. We mean presents, of course. There's the matter of writing your own Christmas wish list-- when did you start thinking about yours? (How long is it?) More important, what's on it?
Then there's the matter of planning what to give to others. Who's on your list of Must Gives? What are you thinking about getting them? And, what's the best way to wrap these gifts?
Never fear, Youth Group is here to help you breeze through any holiday rough spots. So come on & join us-- it's sure to be a good time.
And, check out the home page for a story of one kind of giving, a random act of kindness.

December 21 2:45-6(ish) The Gift of Music
Have you ever been stuck at home for a long time? Maybe you were sick or grounded; whatever the reason, you couldn't connect with friends. You couldn't leave your house. No texting, no Instagram, no nothing. And your friends' parents never had time to drop them off, either. What's that like? (Really, how much television or video can one person watch?)
Today, we're going to visit people who can't easily leave the spaces where they live. We're going to bring some joyous noise to fill the silence in those spaces. Some of the people we'll visit are members of our congregation, some will be residents of the Field Home, a local nursing home.
Then we'll come back to church and EAT some hot foods, desserts, etc. We'll be done cleaning up in plenty of time for the Longest Night Service, which will start at 7 pm.
Here's the timeline:
2:45 Gather in the Youth Room and rehearse
3:30(ish) Be at our locations and sing
5:00(ish) Be back at church and eat
6:00(ish) Be ready to go home or to the Longest Night Service
